This may be a silly question, but maybe there is something behind it. For med schools with rolling admission, it's clear that the sooner you finish your application, the greater the chance that you get an interview sooner, and the greater the chance that there is a spot for you in the class. How does that work with med schools that have non-rolling admission? I'm guessing that the applications are going to be put in a pile until all of them are looked at, but in what order are the applications looked at (alphabetically or by date) and how are the interviews given out (alphabetically or by date)?

Can't speak for all non-rolling schools, but they evaluate your app. as it becomes complete. If you satisfy what they think needs to be there to grant you an interview, they will do so. Then most people are put into a hold pool until around May when all apps. have interviewed that are going to be invited. If you are a stellar candidate and ace your interviewes flawlessly they will offer you admission outright, but most are put into the hold pool until everyone has interviewed and they then go through everyone at the end of the interview cycle. Hope that helps!
