From my understanding, the applicant and program will receive an email on the 22nd regarding your match to the program if everything works out...however someone mentioned to me that there might be a master list too that will be posted matching your applicant code with a program code? Is this true?

Just curious if other programs will know where you end up matching. My gut says no, just because I think that would lead to a mess and people having bad feelings because you did not match with them. I just thought I would ask for those who have experience.

Per the Match FAQ's:

You will be able to obtain your Match result directly from the Match web site (not this web site). Match results are also sent to participating applicants by e-mail. You should review the Schedule of Dates and instructions for obtaining Match results provided on the Match web site at http://www.natmatch.com/ashprmp. The results of the Match will be released on March 22, 2013.

Also I highly doubt other programs would be able to see where you matched, although they will probably find out at some point. Maybe your booth will be next to them at ASHP 😛

That happened to me at our local residency showcase, and this was a program that didn't match either of its spots. A bit awkward, but I'm sure no hard feelings, as they still got residents.

There is no master list as far as I know. But Narrowstairs is right in that there is a good chance programs will find out eventually where you matched.

There is no master list. Match results are sent to the program only...they only know of their residents.

Last year, I received my match result e-mail at 8AM CST. Your match result is also posted on the NMS website at 11AM CST. Maybe your friend was thinking of the online result, or the list of programs that do not match?

So I understand that the rankings list get posted on the website around noon EST. However, if you do not receive an email that morning then you most likely didn't match anywhere? Is that what you should assume if an email hasn't come your way?

Not at all. You will receive an e-mail whether or not you matched at the same time as everyone else. If you don't get an e-mail, you should check your spam filter.

I know that for medical residents, they get an advance e-mail if they do not match. But, for pharmacy students/residents, everyone receives an e-mailed at the same time.
