Hey during my diags the proctors constantly walked up and down the auditorium with his squeeky shoes, and sometimes stops next to someone for a minute or two. it was just annoying. I was wondering what would the real mcat proctor do? Would he walk around the room and sometimes distract people just by standing next to them, cause having someone moving next to you when you try to work is hard enough. Anyone taken the mcat know the answer? I think a lot of people complained about that guy

My proctor sat at the front of the room for most of the time. Maybe once or twice in each section she would walk around the room but I barely noticed since I was so focused on the test. Good luck! 👍

Yeah, they were pretty annoying at my test center. Making noises by moving **** around on their desks. Also, a little bit of laughing, but nothing too bad.

My proctors were really nice, and since it was a small group we were all spaced far apart and they could keep an eye on us w/o walking around more than a few times.... However, the electricity went off for over an hour and they had no clue what to do- they told us that we would probably have to retake the next weekend, but then a few minutes before the time they had decided to release us the electricity came back on.... It totally wrecked my focus, and we were there forever 😡 :meanie:

Do they write down the time that a section will end (like on the board or an overhead projector), or do you have to keep track of this yourself?

might depend on the test center, but at mine they just said when the time started and ended and you had to keep time yourself. No 5 minute call like kaplan did.

I had a few proctors, there was a lot of people taking the test so 2 sat at the front of the room and 2 in the back. But were very professional, very quiet, and called time 10 min before pencils down. But were very strick with cell phones, no beverages no bookbgs....overall a nice day!

My proctors were great, they let me keep a bottle of gatorade as long as it was out of sight, and I was happy with my test center. My desk was ridiculously small though and no leg room made for a cramped experience, but no complaints with the proctors. I think it depends on test sites. I have a friend who took it somewhere else and the proctors were discussing their evening plans. What I suggest is, if they are making too much noise, tell them, don't let it anger you, do so politely, but you paid the money for a quiet environment, make sure they enforce it.
