hey {: (, If I remember you go to the UW (go huskies!). Don't bust your ass taking the hardest calc classes. You're a freshman, a 2.6 isn't the end of the world (but don't make a habit of getting that 2.6). Just clean up next quarter. And then the quarter after that. One suggestion: If there are subjects in which you are not too confident (I took AP Calc as a Sophomore in HS and didn't take math again until my Junior year in college, so I was scared as hell of math) try to take that class in the evening - those classes are easier and they don't look different on your transcript. Med schools can't tell you took an evening course. I took Calc III in the evening at the UW and ended up pulling a 3.5 without too much work. Just something to think about.
One thing I hated about the UW is that you can't get an A+, the ceiling is an A & not an A+. So, if you do sort of well at other schools you'd get an A; at the UW you'll get an A-. This doesn't help you at all, I'm just saying. That's all.
