I got 132 on all other sections but 125 on the CARS section (521 total).
I want to know how bad is that? Could I be automatically rejected for my low CARS during screening?
I'm an ESL student, moved here 4 years ago when I was 22yo.

Really dude?! You have a score in the 99th percentile. Unless you're applying to Canadian schools (which tend to have tougher CARS requirements), I wouldn't sweat it too much. If you are international, you want to make sure you apply to schools that will accept international students. It would be a shame for that sweet MCAT score not to be utilized properly.

How could you make 132 in psy/so but only 125 in CARS? Psy/so is just like another cars.

I understand your point. But CARS requires a good deal of competency in English. It's one thing to understand the meaning of a word, and another thing to understand the "tone of the author" or "subtle nuances of a word".

@Kasra321 you will be fine. If admissions asks why you scored low tell them the following: you moved here 4 years ago and you found this section to be the most difficult. Thus you extra spent time preparing for the section and you improved but not as much as you would have liked

As long as you explain yourself in a reasonable way you will not be penalized- especially given the fact that you have such a high MCAT score and that you got a perfect score on the other sections of the exam.

I would also like to add that CARS is not about "the tone of the author" and "subtle nuances of a word"- It's a logic test where basic thinking is needed to score high. The very fact you got such a high score on the other sections tells me (and admissions) that you are capable of just as high of a score on CARS.

Can't fool me, i took it april 23. Psy/so was a wall of texts. Can't answer w/o reading it.

Well the entire CARS sections is ass-backwards trickery while the psych portion is straight forward and all you have to do is memorize vocab and apply it to the text. I've gotten 126 in CARS after 6 practices and my other sections have all progressed forward from their start point. CARS is a beast.

Don't retake! Only the composite score really matters. I have personal experience.

125 is fine since it looks like it's around the 58th percentile. For reference, I had an 8 on the older verbal (~52th percentile) but LizzyM ~ 76+ and had a pretty successful cycle including early (fall semester) interviews at Pritzker, WashU, Hopkins, etc.
