Hey guys, quick question for you. I've heard people saying Barrons has a lot of mistakes in it. Does that mean there are mistakes in the review section or on the practice tests or what? The review material I've gone over seems to be correct, but I haven't attempted a practice test yet. Thanks a bunch, now get back to studying!! 😀

yea the practice test is filled with errors, especially in the sciences section... i mean, the test is still usuable to get used to the long grueling process and build up your stamina, but the scores that you get from it is not too indicative of the real thing.. good luck! 🙂

Bad. Use Kaplan first then use Barron's just to get some different questions. The best source of info is smack dab in your old text books. hit'em hard.

I liked Barron's, just because it was easier for me to read the material from Kaplan's worded in a different way. I liked it for Gen Chem because all of the formulas were listed in sequential order as opposed to hidden in the information like the Kaplan's book.

It's true that the practice tests are full of errors. So use it as a guideline, but not a be all and end all of your scores. I posted *my* corrections to some of practice test A so I'll bump that up for you in a few minutes.

OH and PAT section is great. Much harder then Kaplan's and so much like the real thing. I was scoring high 20 on Kaplan's PAT without studying, I took Barron's and got a 17. Studied it hard and wound up 18 on the real thing.

:luck:

the barrons book has great strategy and practice for PAT, espeically cube counting. everything else in the book is worthless in my opinion.
