I would say that isn't right! You may be indian and it may be in your blood to cheat but you have the oportunity to make the RIGHT choice!

Now knowing that about your intergrity I would hope I never had you as a doctor, I feel bad for your future patients too!

Well if you're the one applying and your boyfriend is writing a more persuasive essay on why YOU want to be a dentist, you might want to re-think the profession. No one could express how bad I want to be a dentist except for me, and if they can, it's probably the generic stuff adcoms don't want to hear anyways. So regardless of whether you were kidding or not, it's only going to get you so far.

I recall tons of people on SDN participating in a paid online essay writing service. (forgot the website, but SDNers are still doing it.) Isn't that cheating as well? Don't they feel at least a bit guilty for having let someone rewrite their whole essay? I'm proud of myself whenever I produce a nicely written essay, and there will be no other feeling like it when I get into dental school all because of myself.

there's straight up cheating where someone just writes the whole essay for you, and then there is other stuff......like having others edit your essay and make suggestions and rephrase sentences and structures and sometimes extrapolate on your own thoughts......i do not consider the latter examples to be cheating, i would call it producing the best possible essay you can. When each school is reading thousands of essays each cycle they read a ridiculous amount of generic essays that prob. just turn into blah blah blah, same old same old when they've already read a thousand others just like it. I spent a ton of time on my essay and had a few people look at it and make suggestions...then i would rewrite, then they would look at that one and make more suggestions and minor corrections....ect...ect....but if your boyfriend just wrote it all by himself while you sat there watching the real world then I would say that is cheating.......However, I dont care what anyone says in here, just b/c u cheat at stuff doesnt necc. mean you will cheat your patients or provide poor care......making generalizations like that are pretty presumptious. There are great dentists and doctors the world around, many of which I am sure have cheated at something........and also, lets keep in mind that cheating on an application essay type situation is one thing.....cheating in d-school on exams and labs is something that should result in expulsion.😴

I have some Indian friends and they're all pretty honest. However this reminds me of middle school when this Indian dude kept cheating off me, even on standardized tests. That was the most I've ever been cheated off of by one single person.

It happens to me less often now probably because I'm more aware. I remember there was this one Indian dude in my physics class last year who kept sitting behind me on test days, but I'd wait until the test was about to start before I moved up diagonally by two rows, and my friend would be so confused as to why I moved.

Actually, I do know what I am talking about because all you have to do is go to all your old posts and the evidence speaks for itself! You have not once since you have been a member spoken kind words, offered sound advice to a single member here. The last thing a pre-dent needs is to be influenced by an individual who cannot offer sound advice.

Yes, at times I do come across sounding arrogant. That is just me. I am wrong at times and like yesterday I was corrected and I set my pride aside and admitted to being wrong. But there is nothing a person can say when the facts show that they are nothing but negative in all their posts. I, unfortunately, am not listening to my own advice because I said your comments aren't worth responding to - and look what I am doing.
