How big of a role does where you go to school play in getting into specialties?

If you're in the top 5 out of a class of 90, have a 3.9ish gpa, 100 hrs of research experience (but no publications 🙁), hold multiple class leadership positions, very involved in community service, got a "pass" on the NBDE1 (stupid system is gonna be switching to pass/fail, BUT went to a very clinically orientated dental school not known for funneling kids into specialties, would you still have a great chance of getting into a specialty program such as endo, ortho, or OMFS?

the most important things for specialty placement are what you listed before "BUT". school is not really (if at all) important.

there will be some sort of categorical exam to rank applicants in the various specialties.
