by locking my rital thread twice?

how can you assume anyone who is taking ritalin is automatically a drug abuser? you basically assume that I am trying to engage some kind of illegal activity, when I was merely asking a simple question.

if you are not open minded, you will be shocked to see the variety of patients who have entirely different opinions on many things.

That's not an assumption. If you take ritalin without having a prescription or need for it, you are, by definition, a drug abuser.

Taking a controlled medication without a prescription for it is illegal. Duh.

if you are not open minded, you will be shocked to see the variety of patients who have entirely different opinions on many things.
What?! I expected every patient to share my exact world view. How am I going to practice medicine now?!

If you're asking about using Ritalin legally with a physician's perscription, to treat a condition that you legitimately have, then you are asking for medical advice. That's against the TOS, we don't give out medical advice. You need to talk to your physician rather than asking here.

If, on the other hand, you're asking about usiing Ritalin without a physician's perscription, or with one that you conned your way into, that's illegal and one of the topics you can't discuss under the TOS. It is also, by definition, drug abuse.

So either way your thread is getting closed.

Haven't you read in the news pfizer got fined 2.3 billion dollars for illegally promoting and misbranding? You can't use a drug other than its intended use. Its common sense.

Yeah I'm shallow, but it sure beats being a ******.

And I'm closing this because there's really no more discussion to be had. Perrotfish pretty much hit it on the head- thanks.

Also, it's unusual that we see an invocation of Burnett's Law on the first post, but there ya go.
