Hey guys, I'm a m3 at a mediocre medical school that is relatively well known on the east coast. I am just wondering how competitive are the neurology programs in NYC. I have a 207 step 1 score. Class ranking of first 2 year is around 50%. Haven't fail anything so far. Only 1 summer research internship during my undergrad. I know I probably shouldn't even think about Columbia, Cornell or Mount Sinai. But I was wondering if I can still get in NYU, Beth Israel and LIJ Hofstra. What should I do to increase my chances for these programs?

Thanks in advance!

So competitive that no one replied...
Kidding. Sounds like you have a good chance. Obviously name programs are inherently more selective.

Do well on Step 2. Get good recommendation letters. Do an away rotation at one of the places you want to match at.
