How competitive is Denver?

I notice they have a fair amount of residents from "prestige" schools OR homegrown COers. Does this mean they tend to be very competitive except for their own?

I'm looking at most of the programs out west and i'd like to look at Denver. I'm a realist, however, and know that i'm at the bottom 1/3 or my class and would prefer to not waste my time if it's "out of my league." Thx.

I was told not to apply here but I did, and I'm here in Denver tonight on the eve of my interview. Residents I met were great. I'll have a full review in the coming days and PM if you have specific questions about the program. He means its the most amazing medical experience that side of the Mississippi.

Though I doubt it can compete much with my experience at UF, the Harvard of North Central Florida.
