I am slightly stuck on Nova's Supplemental essay.
How did you answer it? I am just wondering if I can mention a PT experience that I have or if that is not considered a "personal experience". Thanks!

I am slightly stuck on Nova's Supplemental essay:

"The American Physical Therapy Association describes the 7 core values of physical therapists as: Accountability, altruism, compassion/caring, excellence, integrity, professional duty, and social responsibility. Describe a personal experience in your life where you demonstrated one of these 7 core values. Please limit your essay to 300 words or less."

For the on campus?

I used an example from work. It wasn't a PT setting, but I think using a PT experience (maybe where you were working as a tech or something) would be just fine.

And I didn't mean your actual answer just your perception of the question.

Thanks for your responses!

Just write whatever you feel is right. I wrote on a personal experience that wasn't a PT related one but I related it back to PT and my personal growth and it seemed to work for me as I'm about to finish up my first DPT semester here at Nova!

How do you like Nova PT? I just received my MPH from NSU-COM and am hoping to get into the PT program.

Its definitely a challenging program (as I'm assuming all DPT programs are) but I really like the curriculum that they have set up as well as the integrated clinical experiences. If you have any questions feel free to message me and I'll do my best to answer what ever I can.

Oh how I want to pick your brain right now🙂. I would love to hear about your experiences the first year! I would like to be as prepared as I possibly can so that I can hit the ground running. What has been your most difficult class? How many hours per day do you devote to studying? Is the faculty helpful?
