How did you do on Kaplan Full Length Practice Tests???

Could anyone who has taken the Kaplan Full Length Practice Tests (including Midterm, Final, 1, 2, and 3) tell me how they did on these compared to the real thing and how accurate of a representation these tests were to the real test? I have taken my Final and Full Length Practice Test 1 and got 18 TS on both and am starting to freak out a little bit with a week left. However, some of the stuff I missed were stupid mistakes so that's good. Haha.

Haha..Funny, I just took one today and I got 19/19/24 and my test is in 3 days! I also missed stupid mistakes. I tell myself, read slower!

Yeah, I got a 23 on my last PAT (I'm assuming that is what you listed as your last score), but I'm worried about the real test after hearing horror stories about the angles. Haha. What test did you take today? Were your scores listed as TS/AA/PAT?? How have you done on all the others you've taken? Sorry for so many questions. Haha.

i took my first full length yesterday (after having taken the diagnostic and kaplan midterm a while ago), and my DAT is in two weeks. i am going to take one every other day (3 more kaplans, 3 topscore exams) until my test date, so hopefully i can improve by at least one pt each time per section... i found that a lot of my mistakes are from reading the questions/answers incorrectly or making stupid calculation errors. my scores for this full length were pretty atrocious, but now i know what i need to focus on. EVERYTHING. hahaha 🙁

that said, i got 18/17/20 (TS/AA/PAT) i wanna get 20's in everything at least. 2 weeks left, doable??? let's hope so!!!!!

I was getting 19 and 20 + on them before my first DAT, and I ended up with an 18 on the real thing

I wish I knew now what I knew then and just held off and studyed more and got it right the first time.

Lets hope the real thing is easier. Everyone that has taken the test in the last month from my area has told me that the real thing was easier then their kaplan practice tests. And their scores show it they all got like 3 to 4 points higher on the real thing. I took my last practice test yesterday. It was the kaplan practice test that is on the CD and i got 20/21/24 if i get anything like that on the real thing i will be VERY content.

Thanks so much for the replies guys! I'm with you yumi43, I just want to get at least a 20 on AA/TS/PAT. I only have one week left so I'm just staying with what I'm doing (studying 8-10 hours a day) hoping that I can get those scores.

if we took a kaplan course (either in the classroom or online), we should all have the same tests, right?

i just took the kaplan full length test one today, and i thought it was easier than normal, especially PAT, reading, and math. did anyone else find it to be strangely dumbed down?

how realistic were those reading passages and QR section compared to the real thing??

Well I don't know about the real thing, because I haven't taken it yet. However, I just took that same practice test three or four days ago and thought the PAT was very easy and that the math was a little easier than previous tests (but I actually practiced my math before this test so that might be why I thought it was easier, haha). Also, on the PAT, I really tried to increase my speed and got through the whole section with time to spare and I usually come up short a couple minutes. As for the reading, I thought it was on par with the rest of the Kaplan tests I have taken so far.

Ahh, that gives me hope!!! I have been so frusturated that I haven't broke an 18 Total Science score yet... I took Full Length Practice Test 2 today and got an 18 in Total Science for the third time... I also bombed OC with a 16 though (never done this bad), but I killed GC with a 21, so I'm really going to work on organic before my last practice test and real thing. I really hope I can do better on the real thing like you guys and bring up my science score!

gen chem was way easier on the real thing. i never got above 15 on kaplan exams but got a 21 on the reAL THING... gchem was a joke.. so was ochem.. o chem on kaplan exams 2 and 3 is way harder so if u don do well don wrry ... bio was completly random on the real thing though was scoring 21s on kaplan and got a 18 n the real thing

I'm planning to take the last 2 Kaplan tests within the next 2 weeks, and the real DAT towards the end of Sept. I'm also planning to buy the Achiever tests to have another perspective.

At this point I'm not too sure what to think about Kaplan's tests. Bio hasn't been too random. OC is pretty straightforward. The RC passages have been interesting enough for me not to dread it (in contrast to what I've heard about the actual DAT RC passages). And, as expected, Kaplan PAT is a joke. Overall, I'd say Kaplan seems a little easy, and I look forward to taking the Achiever tests... I'll be able to provide more comparative insight after I take the rest of the practice tests and the real test next month.

for those of you who have taken Kaplan, i'm you'd agree with me that there are TONS of repeat questions, so my online final score is definitely inflated.
