The only school that I want to get in is my state school (10 minutes from my house) and Uniformed Services University (prior military). I know you should only apply to schools you really do want/intend to attend, but what if its only two schools?

Believe me, I just want to be a doctor in the end so I would appreciate getting into ANY school. However, I'm having trouble filling out these secondaries for them. I looked through their website/student handbook but it all boils down to... I'm applying here because I'm supposed to apply broadly. I just feel like I'm lying out of my teeth saying I love their curriculum / mission statement / blah blah etc.

So for those who filled out like 10+ secondaries, how did you fill out those ones who are just a means to an end?

if you are that apathetic about the whole process you should probably just save your money.

  4. there are plenty of schools without essay questions on their secondaries, but this isn't really a good way to determine if a school is right for you.

I typed mine. I used my pointer finger for letters like 'y' and 'u', my middle finger for 'k' and 'i', and so on and so forth.

I decided to go old school and use a quill pen and parchment. Then I submitted the secondaries via passenger pigeon.

I'm surprised you can afford to feed that thing on a student's budget.

Play the game bro. Every school mentions something about building diverse physicians with something about leadership, education, and research. So write a paragraph about that, support it with something unique their curriculum offers and tie it in with an activity that you do.

With the way the application process is set up, I'm sure most schools know why they're selected on AMCAS.
