I'm taking this next semester. It doesn't look too bad (not as bad as Calc.). Also, since most medical school require SOME math, is it okay if I take it at a CC (I'm in HS and a dual enrollment student)?

I think it is fine as long as it transfers.
I liked stats alot better and thought it was much easier than Calc...👍

I thought it was easier than Calc. Probably would have been harder if I had to memorize all the equations.

Although I've only taken Stats I it was a breeze. I hear the difficulty ramps up in courses any higher than that though

You should do well if you're halfway decent at math. Stats isn't bad at all. Kind of interesting, actually, once you get into applications.

intro stats was an easy A...I'm taking a graduate level biostats class right now (my 3rd stats class) it's easy as well.

Stats ranging from extremely easy where all you have to do is plug in stuff into calculator to extremely difficult, where you have to know where everything comes from and know all sorts of assumptions and alternative tests.

I took stats last year, it is pretty straight forward, I "studied" around 5 hrs a week and did the practice exams
key points for stats (stuff they drill in your head)
1) know Mean, Median, Mode
2) Know what a independent and dependent variable
3) learn what are z-scores, bell curve, Body and tail distribution
4) expect 80% of "case studies" involving SAT scores for a given sample

lol, described by current STATS class to the T...👍

Difficulty and happiness were correlated r(55) = .49, p < .01.

Im taking Biostat now! for some reason its required as a bio major at my school 🙄, Buts it all on Excel and very easy! But it also helps that i have an awesome teacher whos goal is to have an entire class full of A's 👍

I have to do it as well as a Bio major at my school.

They make it hard though...3 questions on 6 chapters worth of material.

I found statistics to be a pretty easy class. You could probably get away with taking it at a CC given that you've started there and aren't jumping down to try to find an "easier" path.

HI
i was wondering if biostat, statistic, course in ur scools required a research like in mine
i dont know wt to do ????help please

So does biostats count as the stat requirement at schools that require it?

I think I have to do it for bio anyways.

BTW. NEVER say WE ACCEPT the Null Hypothesis!
When I said that in class, my teacher screamed "NO!"
Then I was like:whoa:
So remember, "You either Reject or Fail to Reject the Null Hypothesis

Stats is very simple. I was more intrigued with calc because I felt like I was actually learning and working for my grade. In stats... well, you don't have to do much to pass with an A... bring a pillow.

I'm taking Stats I now. I suck at math and it's a breeze. If you've taken calc, or even pre-calc really, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised by how simple it is.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the easy A. =)

Thanks for this. We just started this today. 😉
