Taking the class on Jan 11th.

Sitting through an 11.5hr course only to end up failing the final exam and wasting $192...that would suck.

My friend who just took it had an open-book final exam. Is that the norm or did he just get lucky? He said, if it wasn't for it being open-book, it'd be a hard exam.

I'm taking it at USP.

The course is not hard, and the final is open-book. Only bad thing is that it's been almost 3 months since I took the course, and still no certificate. No rush for me though, as I'm still a P4.

Thanks for the response...

Now I just gotta wait for them to mail me or email me the materials...

It's really no big deal. Just be sure to have the immunization tables that come at the end of each section handy with you during the exam.

FYI:
Don't bother with the advice in the book about downloading the current vaccination guidelines. They use the tables in the back of the book (since these change and are updated as new info is acquired, consider that the test was created based off the guidelines showing in the book). Just make sure you pay attention to the footnotes, and you might, just might want to use tabs to mark where "Key" information is found in the book. Such as influenza, HPV, Zoster, etc..

We had to do the self evaluation, then sit through a review of the book, perform 2 IM and 1 SC, then the final. As you mark your answers on the response form, also mark in your book for the final for study purposes.

Steel yourself, it isn't a fast paced class.

its a piece of cake though it took me two months to get my certificate.

What?!? It took me like 3 months to get mine and I'm only a P1.

We had our certificates about 2 weeks after the final...They spelled my name wrong so it took longer to get the "Official" certificate. We had them just a little late for Flu Shot season.
