How do I acquire a research position after graduation?

Talk to the faculty at your UG school..see if they have positions open.

Get a job, any job, at a research facility, and network into a lab position.

Get an MS and learn some lab techniques. Good technicians are always in demand.

You have a strong research background and apply to research positions. It's not hard to find them - it's harder to get them. Look on job listing boards for students/alumni at your school. Take a look at several hospitals' job listing boards too. Usually they'll post jobs there for clinical research positions. Those are easier to come by than basic science research positions.

If you're willing to start as a part-time volunteer RA, you can wiggle in almost anywhere. Then impress them and work your way up.
