Medical How do I Answer "Disciplinary Action" Question?

I am having some issue answering a question that asks "Have you ever been subject to disciplinary action of any kind or placed on probation by a college or university?" Does this only cover actions taken by academic institutions, or does it include others? (i.e. extracurricular orgs, legal entities, jobs, etc.)

The second part of the question asked:
" by a college or university?"

is all they are expecting. There's other questions that cover those areas.

"by a college or university?" is in the question, and I would specify only that. If the college or university itself sanctioned you, answer yes. If the college or university did not, answer no.

If a club fired you from being president, doesn't count. Not a university.

If you got fired from a job, doesn't count. Not a university.
