I'm trying to stay consistent with other applicant, but how do I average hours?

I would volunteer during the school year for like 10 hours a week but would do none during summer. Would I just add up all my total hours and divide by hours?

Right now basically, I would add up my total hours and then divide by total weeks (so lets say I did 400 hours total for a EC over 2 years. I would just go 400/104). Is this the correct way of doing this?

I am almost positive that in this thread lies the answer you seek: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=813591

But maubs, that would eliminate half of fastfingers fun! I mean, he's started 79 threads in his 337 post history, so why would he start searching for answers now?

I'd settle for posting the question in the appropriate thread.
