how do I create a poll?

Well, the title is pretty self-explanatory! I've searched everywhere (or so I think). What gives?

Create a new thread like you normally do, before hitting submit, check the "Post a Poll" checkmark right above the submit button. Select the number of answer options in your poll. After you hit submit, you will be taken to your poll and you will create it.

When you start a new thread, there's a box to click to start a poll. It is under the text box.
