As the title states, does anyone have any tips on whether or not I should incorporate research into my PS? Or just leave it out? Thanks!

As long as it fits the question why you want to go into medicine. Other than that, we would need to see what you wrote.

Some people start out thinking that they like "science" and want to go into research and then after doing bench work and volunteering (or working) in a clinical setting they discover that they prefer the applied science and art of medicine. That's a rather common narrative. If it isn't your story, then research might not fit into the "why medicine" story you need to tell.
