I am a PA resident. I haven't taken the DAT yet (which I know will play a big factor), but following is everything else.

Major: Japanese
cGPA: 3.72
sGPA: 3.55 (Had a rough sophomore year with C in orgo II, B's in physics I and II and orgo I. Other than that solid science grades with upper levels).

(Note: I took a lot of courses at a local 4-year university during high school. If those classes are counted, my GPA would be cGPA: 3.80, sGPA: 3.68. But I'm not sure if these are counted and I don't think they'll hold as much weight regardless).

I have done 800+ hours of research in a bioengineering lab, presented a poster at a national conference.
200+ hours volunteering at a hospital across 3 years.
300+ non-clinical volunteering hours at a summer camp across three years.
120 shadowing hours across general/specialties.
TA for Biology 1 for 2 years and received a competitive fellowship to implement a teaching project.
Participated in a Cultural exchange program to Japan for my major.
Philanthropy chair of a premedical professional fraternity (before I switched to dental).

I will also have solid letters of rec. One from the PI of my lab who I have worked with on a daily basis for 4 years, one from a bio professor that I had for class, TA'd for, and was my mentor for the fellowship I received, one from medical staff who has known me in a patient-interaction setting for 2 years (from hospital volunteering), etc.

My dream schools:

Pitt
UCLA
UCSF
Baylor
UNC
USC

Ideally, I like to go somewhere warm that also won't put me in debt forever (ie not Pitt and USC respectively).

What would you say my chances are of getting accepted to at least one of these schools?

Well, you're right. Without the DAT, it's hard to tell anything. But let's say you roll some average scores. You've got some pretty thick state schools there. I'd say Baylor and UNC are the most impossible. Even with some huge scores. I'm just me, but I wouldn't even bother with those two. They just hate people. Your app looks solid otherwise, though. Don't jack the DAT, consider a dental letter if you don't have one, and feel free to dream but apply way beyond that list.

Those college classes you took in high school WILL count--so that's a good thing!

Also, your ECs are awesome.

I'd say a definite no to Baylor. (Not because your application is lacking--it's just too small of a chance, and I just wouldn't waste the money.) With a 21+ on the DAT, though, I'd say you have a solid shot at UNC. You never know until you try. From what I've seen, they're much more OOS-friendly than any Texas school. However, from experience, I also know that admissions at UNC is somewhat of a crap shoot--so although I wouldn't bank on it, it won't hurt to try!

Why not apply to the Pennsylvania schools?

Agreeing with the others--make sure you get a rec letter from a dentist.
