how do i need to practice?

I have kaplan blue book... it's a huge book.
but i believe it only has 2 practice tests including cd rom.
test won't take all day, but reading book will take couple of years.
so what i am wondering is...i know how to read, it's just, how do i test what i have learned with only 2 practice tests? it's like studying couple of years and take 2 practice tests then taking the real test. I think it's enough reading, but not enough practices. and i can't believe i should memorize so many stuffs in the entire chemistry just for 30 questions...-_-; what are the most common questions that are "Guaranteed" to show up? i read couple of questions in Kaplan and it seems it's gonna ask like which has the higher ionization energy, atomic size, things like that...will those simple one also be on the test? cuz I don't think they will ask us 30 mathmatic questions that require so many complicated formulas...-_-; so scared...

The kaplan book is huge, but it should only take you 2 months to cover everything in it; well, that's how long it took me.

What you need to do is get some other questions. Kaplan subject tests are very helpful for practice questions. The kaplan books are easy reads. I read the bio sections in 2 days. Thats like what 300 pages. Read and do questions...the most important thing is to do as many problems as you can as i think its the best way to test your knowledge. I read the bio section like 3 times plus the princeton review for the mcat biology twice.

All I can say is just read the kaplan book. I know I didnt score in the 20+ like everyone else on SDN but I would just concentrate on knowing everything that is in the Kaplan book. Topscore also has some good practice exams (www.scholarware.com) that will toughen you up for the big test. Also dont expect to many periodic trend questions on the real DAT, maybe one. For gen. Chem You should know all gas formulas, conversions, concentrations etc. Nothing to difficult. Hope this helps and Good luck.

All I can say is just read the kaplan book. I know I didnt score in the 20+ like everyone else on SDN but I would just concentrate on knowing everything that is in the Kaplan book. Topscore also has some good practice exams (www.scholarware.com) that will toughen you up for the big test. Also dont expect to many periodic trend questions on the real DAT, maybe one. For gen. Chem You should know all gas formulas, conversions, concentrations etc. Nothing to difficult. Hope this helps and Good luck.
