How do I prepare for NBDE I?

Hi, I am not from the US and I am going to start preparing for the NBDE part I exam. I will study from my books and class notes, but are there any other tips for preparing and gettng good scores. Since I have not studied in the US maybe there is a difference in curriculum and so on. So how do you in the US study and prepare for this exam? I have bought the book First aíd NBDE part I, is it good? I have seen people write about decks, what is that? and are they good? where can i buy them? Please if I could get any help?
