I'm in my intern year with a 4 year ADSC. I have absolutely decided that I do not want to be a doctor. I am certain of this so to those that will advise me to stick it out, finish intern year, take step 3, I appreciate your advice, but my focus is to FOREVER leave medicine. I am not interested in using medicine as a backup plan.
My questions are- how do I go about this? I have heard about "resigning commission", but I don't completely know what this means. Could someone please explain.
Lastly, can I request that the military use me in a capacity other than healthcare? I have no more interest in healthcare whatsoever. I would prefer serving out my time in an admin or "desk job" role, a simple 9-5 job.
