Hey all,

My AMCAS was just made "ready for review" earlier this week because I wnated to apply AFTER a medical brigade in early august, so it should be sent out within the next couple of weeks I hope. I have my applicant page below; how does my school list look? I was a little disappointed with the mcat, but what can you do. I would LOVE to go to a nyc school, or obviously unc (or uva). Thanks for any input you can give guys!

you have very good stats and EC, why not add columbia, cornell, Yale to the mix?

You have a great application which will compensate for applying late. You should do well in this application cycle, assuming good Letters of Reference, Personal Statement, and interview skills.

thank you that is a great idea- i just added cornell and yale; ive heard from quite a few people that columbia's atmosphere is a spitting image of duke's, and i want to stay as far away as possible from that. walking through dook you getta cutthroat and arrogant vibe. heres to hoping my mcat doesnt keep me from a nyc school

really? I never heard that about Duke or Columbia before.

its the image ive gotten from duke- alot of its students actually say the same

one of my primary reasons to post (i should have clarified) was to see if I should add more "safety" schools- and if so, some recommendations. thanks guys.

you already have, what, 24 schools on the list now? if you're that paranoid i think you can add the other usual suspect safety school Drexel to the list. but seriously i think you're one of the best candidates i've seen on this board (which is saying a lot) and shouldn't be worried about so many safeties.
