My application had been mailed to schools on October 7th but without my OAT scores. I am taking the OAT this monday (October 26th). I was wondering if schools usually contact applicants through email or US mail. If anyone could help me out I would truly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

OH! and also, when taking my OAT I know I must get my scores sent from the testing center directly to all schools I have applied to. I saw for Western University, for example, that they want us to designate their school as a specific number when sending our scores. Do we need to bring any information about the schools we need our OAT sent to, or just the name of the schools?

thanks!!!!

most schools contact you via e-mail. There are a few though that send the invite through snail mail.

I think you just add the name of the school when you apply to take the OAT. So if you've already done that, then you're fine. It takes about 2 weeks for them to send the schools your official scores.

I've only dealt with Western, so I know that they call you for an interview and then email you for confirmation. Later they will mail you their decision (still waiting for mine to come in!). Good luck on the OAT!!

thank you so much guys! I appreciate all of the help! I am studying for the OAT as we speak! I have not gotten any replies yet through email, but I am guessing this is due to the fact that my OAT scores are not yet in. I am applying at western also!! If you do not mind me asking, what are your statistics like regarding your OAT scores/gpa etc? Maybe you could PM me? I have the pre-test jitters! Thanks for the good luck note!!

Note: You're supposed to designate what schools you're having your scores sent to BEFORE taking the exam. Log onto opted or prometrics and make sure that you've selected the proper schools. You get 5 free and every extra one is $25. I'm not entirely sure that the prometrics testing center will be able to dictate where you have it sent. They might tell you to go home and do it online, so might as well do it before hand.
