If I withdraw my application from schools in august, will I get my $30 school fee back? I understand that I will lose the $150 AMCAS fee but wanted to know if I will lose the $30 too. Thanks.

the primary application fee is not refundable as far as i know. the only thing that's refundable is the deposit you send in to reserve a spot in the class (i.e. after you are accepted). in that case, I was sent a refund by check.

This probably won't help you much since this is all hearsay, but I remember a person posting on MD Applicants that he had submitted his AMCAS application last year and after AMCAS severely messed up the GPA portion of his application, he was able to withdraw his application and receive a refund for that year. Not sure if this applies for the average applicant that just changes his or her mind or gets cold feet though.

neither primary (150 + 30/school) nor secondary fees are normally refundable. As SP said, deposits for position in the class are normally refundable up to May 15th. However, not all schools (notably many DO schools) will refund even these regardless of when you withdraw.
