How do schools generally view low cGPA but high sGPA?

Just curious how dental schools would view someone with a 3.1cGPA but a 3.7-3.8sGPA. ECs are fine but nothing that stands out too much like the Olympics/veteran. Would this person have any success at getting accepted?

Are you trying to decide to apply to dental school or not? If you are then I say just go for it and work hard. What would be your other option? Just sayin'!
