If a person worked 4 years as a licensed practical nurse and then finished medical school and residency training, he starts to work as a doctor, what kind of experience will be shown in his profile? 0 years? Or 4 years as a licensed practical nurse will be also counted as experience? I.e experience means only experience as a doctor, or working as a nurse in the past also counts as experience?

What kind of profile do you refer to? Social media, LinkedIn, "Find a Doctor" on a hospital website, or what? If the latter, it will probably autofill the number of years since you completed residency, though there may be a narrative section where past education and experience can be mentioned. Some sites include the years since getting the first medical license. For others, you can fill in whatever information you want to have shared.
