Tell them "That's your job".

Seriously, whatever you think is the answer. Only you can answer that question truthfully, and if you don't or its rehearsed, the interview committee will pick up on it.

thats a question for a secondary. I dont remember which one. why are you asking others what they put???
your should be YOUR reply, and what makes YOU different and stand out. Diff things make Diff people stand out differently. write things about yourself, your achievements, etc.

DDSguyLA, YOU ARE MY HERO :bang:

BTW, I do have better scores (99% DAT) , Thanks Andrew

I hated that question. It is seriously the worst question on any secondary I have seen.

Why is it the worst?

Because the only thing I could think of/actually wanted to write was, "Uh, duh. 'Cuz I'm freaking awesome and my awesomeness will rock your school so hard that everyone is going to need to duck and cover in the path of my awesomeness."

And I had a hard time translating that into application-speak.

Socket, are you on predents? you should hook up the accounts, what are your scores and things? When did you submit?

Make sure to get the UCSF one in on time!

This is the type of question that distinguishes the best from the rest. You need to read in between the lines to determine what the question's really asking. A strong and mature answer can get you into every school you want. This isn't something to take lightly. I won't go into how to answer it, because it'll take away from those who have really good answers.

No help to competitors 🙂 since they can steal your sophisticated answer.
Good luck everyone.

Yes, I am... but, nobody contacted me yet. I should get an offer from OU and Marquette soon, I hope ?!😱

I am currently working on my UCSF secondary, best wishes to the competition !!!😀

This is what every dental school wants to know. Yeah, you have the grades and the scores, but what make you UNIQUELY qualified? What experiences do you have that others do not? What will you add to their incomming class? This is what they want to know.

just say.. "***** please" or "UMM have you seen these muscles?"

has always worked in my experience 😀

become a national champion, or a college instructor, or publish something, or....whatever, you get the point.

or just be amazingly smooth with the ladies 🙂

Perfect. ^ This is the only answer to the OP's question. If people cannot answer this question for themselves, then they need to step back and think about what they are doing.........................think about it.

Not really. The questions stem states that other students have similar experiences. How can students with similar scores, achievements, and experiences be different?

Take it as you like... I see it as asking what makes you uniquely qualified for dental school. Is says "what makes you stand out"? aka - what are your unique qualities that make you stand out... You have to think of things that your peers may not have experienced, or qualities that they may not have that you do... Or else there would not be an answer right?

i talked about my huge peni......you know what, its probably not appropriate here.

tell them you have small hands and you can get into their mouths better.

I knew this guy at USC who wanted to do pedo but had humongous hands (please no dirty jokes). I was like, um.....are you sure?

Not really, you've rephrased the question such that now you can elaborate on different experiences, even when the original question says you have similar experiences. But whatever. You've already submitted your secondary, and it's not all that important.

Your hands don't really go inside the person's mouth. A few fingers here and there occasionally but mostly it's various devices that go inside.
