one of the kidneys took 77 minutes and the other took 52 minutes and from the timing it would seem that both were done with the patient leaving the OR and coming back several hours later, unless the times posted on the timelines aren't what we would call start and finish times for each portion of the procedure and more like when the surgeon says they are done but there is still like an hour of closing left.

why is there such a huge break between liver finish and kidney begins..? they work pretty fast, doing a heart-liver in 6 hrs

Never done a heart/liver combo. Plenty of both separately. Reperfusion after liver transplant is very demanding on the heart. Wonder what that is like on echo with a freshly transplanted heart. Sounds like a big operation that maybe should be staged?
I don’t do transplants anymore though.
