Because I'm getting ready to marry an MD (no, that's not why I want to become one myself - other way around) I esentially had to choose a medical school before applying.
My sweetie had to start an internship one year before I will (various deities willing) start medical school. We took a close look at the residency side as well as the med school side of each place, and chose based on a balance of our needs.
Has anyone else had to do this? How did you explain it to your interviewers? "I want to come here because my significant other is here" doesn't seem terribly endearing, somehow. 😛 On the other hand, could the fact that I'm committed to that degree help my cause?
Thanks for your thoughts!
