6 days away now, and it's officially consuming most of my thoughts. Doing work doesn't help. Going out with friends doesn't help. Family. TV. Sports. BAH!

I can understand those thoughts! I am pretty much living the same way, consumed by min! Although there has been some good college football on that has helped me stay distracted. And the holiday has helped out a ton. I just hate the fact that we have to start school up again monday.

Guys, stop thinking about it. You will only hear from the schools in a week if you GOT IN this round. If schools decide to hold on to your app you will have to wait longer. Its better not to get your hopes up and be pleasantly surprised next week instead of disappointed. At least that's what I keep telling myself, but I did only have 3 interviews so far so my odds are slim...

My point is: what makes you people think that you'll definitely hear on Saturday December 1st? Everyone is counting down and they're in for a surprise when nothing happens. The majority will still be waiting for a few more days at least.

Whether ya like it or not, Nov 30th is still going to be on your mind this week bc it's the first day we can hear back from the schools. I agree that you shouldn't drive yourself crazy anticipating this date and should distract yourself as much as possible, but for some (like me) we can't help it. I've played the waiting game long enough, and though I know that there may be more waiting to come -- on Nov. 30th there's a chance that the wait may be over so 🙂. [all the schools I interviewed for said they would call us Nov 30th]

I feel like I've already exhausted my ability to anticipate and analyze my standing right now. I think I got burnt out around mid September (weak, I know). 6 days, 6 weeks, I don't think it makes much difference to me at this point. I am excited but like someone said, most of us will not get a call as most schools only invite a percentage of their full class on the 1st. One thing I've learned thus far is the whole application process can really screw with your mind, consume you, and turn you into one very unproductive and useless piece of crap if you're not careful. It's pretty important to distract yourself with something like college football or whatever. Look at me, it's past 2am and I'm reading about beta oxidation and chylomicrons. I can't wait to finish this chapter in my life and start a new one that starts out with, "Ya, the white coat ceremony was tight, I finally made it...."

I am scared and excited at the same time. I am lucky I am working 50hrs a week and have this girl keeping my mind off this whole thing otherwise I'd be a wreck.

First off good luck to you all. But this is making me laugh so much, maybe it is the mom in me but, the 30th/1st is going to come and go, and then you have to wait until August to start. Granted it will be nice to know what is in your future, but if you have done everything you can do, then it is out of your hands. This may be the hardest part for some of you, JUST BREATHE. Relax and get through finals.
Besides I will be at the WVU/Pitt Game on the first as it is my son's birthday so I have a huge distraction for that weekend. 😎
