I'm taking the DAT in 6 weeks, and I'm overwhelmed by how much the materials are there. I bought KBB, DAT destroyer, math destroyer, cliff bio, and coursesaver DAT, probably later on will get bootcamp for PAT. However, I don't have a clear idea on how to study, (I NEED A PLAN). Can you guys provide me some advise???

All depends on your study habits! You won't need KBB, start with chad, watch one section everyday for both ochem and Gen Chem. Skim through cliffs notes so when you get to bio destroyer, you would be familiar with the terms. As soon as you are done with Chad, you can start doing destroyer for both ochem and Gen chem. Make sure you understand every concept, formula, etc in destroyer. Bootcamp is great for RC, QR, and PAT of course. Do generators everyday. At first, it will take you an hour to do 15 questions for each section. After weeks of practice, you will become way faster. Do a RC practice exam on boot camp every once in a while. Sciences on bootcamp are also great but destroyer... you have to master it.

Ari has a sample study plan up on Bootcamp's site that you could try using as a foundation. I would suggest altering it based on how comfortable you are with the pace and how quickly you're able to get through the material. Are you just starting to study for the DAT now? How strong is your background in the sciences?

Just finish third year as a biology major, I complete orgo and general chem.. so I think I have some background that I do not need to relearn everything, most stuff for me are review. But I definitely need to focus on details of some parts of the biology.

For biology, just remember, breadth and not depth. Biology is the hardest to do very well in, IMO, because of the sheer number of things you could be asked. None of it will be TOO in depth, but I promise it will be all over the place.

Thanks, i will follow the ARI's study plan, and use cliff as the primary source (since I only got 6 weeks, I'll put two days into one) and do a lot of practice problems!!

Start practicing PAT NOW!!! Start reading tons of science articles in your free time. DAT Bootcamp has links to them, and you can search for good websites to get scientific literature to practice reading. Good luck

I used Ari's study guide and modified it to include extra notes I had from reading KBB over Christmas break. Like it's been said before, bio is the possibly the toughest section because there's so much material that could be tested on so you have to be comfortable with everything to some extent.

You need to start studying for the PAT now! It's one of the most important sections on the exam so scoring well is absolutely necessary. While PAT seems like something that can be easily learned, you'll want all the practice you can get. Bootcamp's practice exams are pretty on par with the actual DAT and I know they're working on improving the QR section after the recent changes.

Good luck!
