how do you guys do Cube Counting

I am having trouble with counting cube,

the things is that this is so piece of cake however, I don't know when the cubes are hiding..

one problem that i did was that i could see piece of cube behind the long tower cube thing and i assumed that there are more cubes in front of the little piece of cube , behind the tower. but when i check the answer it said that the cube which has just little sight of itself is the only one behind the tower cubes.. do you know what i mean ???

how do you guys figure out in this situation if there are more cubes or just one has showing only piece of itself.

I made a grid and would just pick a pattern to count. like left to right, front to back and I was getting 15/15 on every practice test, Kaplan and acheiver. It takes a little longer but I new this method was guaranteed points so it is worth the extra time when you know you are getting it right.

Also if i had a lot of time I would count my total then count the total number of cubes. On the real dat I finished with about 20 min maybe 18 but spent that time on TFE and keyhole because I already counted all the cubes and they matched.

This is simple. Whenever you see only a part of the cube and its on the 1st level then there is one cube hiding. But if the piece of a cube that you see is higher (say 2nd level) then you have to assume that there is 1 cube underneath it holding it up since it cannot float in the air. that's it! any other question?

This, this, and this again. Make a tally of all the cubes. Takes about 40 sec, and then answering 4 questions takes 2 sec each. So in under a min you have 4 questions done. Get really good at this section, allowing you to speed through it, and giving you more time to look at questions like keyholes and TFE.

You gotta do the tally method. I tried to do it in my head as I figured what so hard about counting a few cubes, but felt like a ****** when I scored 12/15 or 11/15 when this is the one section you can get 15/15 every time.
