I wouldn't follow their reasoning for answers all the way, but it is key to look at why you got questions wrong. For example, doing those passages will let you realize what kinds of mistakes you are making such as misreads or missing the main thesis of each passage. Once you know the types of mistakes you are making, you can improve from that.
geez that is pretty bad. I do find the AAMC harder than both EK and TPR. I find EK easiest. To be honest I was scoring 11-12 on EK 101 on my last write and only ended up with a 9 on VR on the real thing (and felt good walking out)
