I just met another student and had a mind boggling epithany. But I have Soooo many questions after thinking about what he said. So basically, he's been successful by reading the textbook, then using lectures to supplement the reading, to see if he missed anything, to see what was required from the text, and stuff like that. Me? I've been going to lectures, recording them, taking a few notes to keep my mind from wandering, then going home to create full blown organized notes. However my method is timely. But, his method is difficult. How do people read through a whole chapter, take notes, and come to class ready to modify notes if the professor doesn't post the syllabus until the day before the first class? It's also timely to read through a textbook and understand what's important and what's just extra if you haven't even been introduced to the info.
I am doing recordings, and am struggling just to get high B's, but never A's. I literally have no time to do anything except go to lecture, eat, sleep and make notes/study. I'm pre med and just in college and already struggling with the amount of information.
Any suggestions? I read other forums on this site and found medschool will have much too much to do recording for everything and rewrite notes. How do you pre-red a chapter? What do you look for? How long do you spend?
Thanks!!
