How do you send AACOMAS your MCAT score?

The application just asks what you got, the date you took it and your AAMC ID. But nothing else, don't I have to send it or something? Why doesn't it say anything?
 
Yes you do. You have to go to AAMC website and go to the link that says Get Your Test Scores. Once there click the icon at the top right, then click the tap my reports and click send scores electronically. Then send to American Assoc of osteopath med. That is it!
 
Thanks, just did it! I heard others got secondaries without their MCAT being seen as received so hopefully this mild delay doesn't sting.

I'm really glad you asked this. I probably would have never sent my scores...
 
Yeah, you have to dig pretty deep in the fact section to find these instructions, the score part doesn't insinuate you have to send it so I'm glad I discovered this.

Thank you so much for asking and answering. I would never have known. Just sent my score via AAMC to aacomas. How long does it take for accomas to send my score to schools? I won't be able to submit my secondaires without my mcat score
 
Regarding this- if I haven't received my official score from latest MCAT (will get it next week) and I've already sent in my previous MCAT scores, will I need to send again? Or should the new score be sent automatically once I receive it?

do you happen to know how long it take schools to recceive the mcat score after releasing from aamc
 
I didn't realize that this is a thing. Glad I saw this post.
 
Wow..would not have known to do this...no where on the AACOMAS application does it say to that...it is buried deep in the instructions
 
How long does it take once the scores are sent by AMCAS for them to be verified by AACOMAS?

How long does it take for schools to receive scores and how can i confirm that schools have received them?
 
I just called aacomas....they said 7-10 business days. This is absolutely ridiculous; no where in the MCAT section did it say to send your scores directly from AAMC to AACOMAS....

You're kidding me! All this past waiting around and I could have just sent in my scores, now I gotta wait extra because they weren't very specific/clear about instructions... 🙁

Yup I can't believe it either. Absolutely ridiculous that an application service like AACOMAS can't be clear about how to send MCAT scores.....quite surprising

Didn't find it difficult at all...go to my reports (AAMC) and send electronically.

I guess my thought was- how else would they receive them? Definitely distinct from AAMC (unlike AMCAS). I knew I had to for TMDSAS; so maybe that helped my thinking?

I just thought that by submitting our AAMC Id number that they'd be able to remotely access them

On the bright side it doesn't seem to take super long for them to receive your scores. I sent mine in early June and everything was confirmed like two days later.
 
I didn't get an email notification when they received my score, but you can check in the "Check Status" tab. When your MCAT scores are received, the "Standardized Tests" tab will have a green checkmark and a received date.
 
I'm glad you brought this up. I never knew that I had to actually request my MCAT from AAMC and it delayed my application a whole month last cycle.

What's helpful is that I actually received all of my secondaries but one without my MCAT even being verified...
