There appears to be nowhere to fill in course descriptions for certain classes that have different titles/numbers. How does AACOMAS determine if they are similar to count as repeats?

You indicate it yourself as a repeat in the application. If you're worried about it, you can message AACOMAS with the course descriptions of both.

Who cares how? The important thing is they do. Just designate it as repeat if you want it counted as one and then let them do the magic.

They check online or request you submit a hard copy of the course description, if they don't agree with what you originally submitted.

Yea on the actual application you will report next to a course as REPEAT 1, then for the course that you repeated it with you will designate LAST REPEAT 1. The AACOMAS will do their magic later.

Has aacomas ever denied anyone their repeats? I seldom hear anything about that.

Does AACOMAS ask you to designate if a course is lecture, lab, or lecture + lab?

Reason I ask is because I'm hoping that a lecture + lab course that I took will serve as an acceptable retake for a course that was only a lecture.

As long as the credits of the new course are greater or equal to the older one, it should be fine. And that its a similiar course, the addition of a lab isnt going to cause any problem.

They do not... you simply fill in the courses exactly as they are written on your official transcript. They figure out the rest. They can usually get an idea of if it has a lab or not based on the credit hours and such.

Great. So if my Bio 101 course was lecture + lab, I don't need to designate it? They'll see that it's 4 creds and assume there was an associated lab?
