How does AMCAS calculate science GPA?

How does AMCAS calculate GPA? I'm in a post-bacc program now where the grades are different than what I was used to at my undergrad. (Ex: an A- here is a 3.67, at my undergrad it was a 3.7) This seems unfair if every school does it differently, so I'm just wondering how AMCAS standardizes these sorts of discrepancies?

You give them the letter grade (A+,A,A-, etc.) and they standardize it. You can find the specifics in their manual.
