Hey guys,

Will AMCAS look at my post bac and undergrad GPAs separately or will they look at it in a cumulative manner? How about for grad school?

I only ask because, mathematically speaking, my GPA would not rise substantially. So, I'm assuming it's more about showing that you can excel with higher level coursework, yes?

Thanks for your time

For undergrad they have an overall and they also break it down by year: High, Fresh, Soph, Junior, Senior, Post-bacc.

Grad school GPA is calculated separately.

So adcomms will be able to appreciate if your most recent undergrad coursework showed an upward grade trend, which helps even if your overall cGPA doesn't rise much.

A few AMCAS schools will regard the BCPM of a science-heavy masters grad-level degree, but most don't.
