I have a quick question: how does AMCAS round your gpa? Do they help you out, i.e. If you have a 2.94882, will it round to a 2.95. or do they screw you over with a 2.94?

(I am aware that one will be screwed with both of these gpa's and that they are essentially the same. I do not have either GPA. I am just curious about how they round the numbers.)

A 2.94 or a 2.95 = Still not that competitive. Rounding is not going to solve much.

We're talking about a difference of 0.01. Is it that big of a deal?

amcas is a mystery to me.. my 4.0 came back a 3.98.

ps- thats not my cumulative gpa.. it was in the section where they break down gpa/year.

Dude, read the question. Read the comment below it. I put the comment there there so I wouldnt get a ******ed response like this.
😱

If you have to hope that AMCAS will round your GPA so it looks better, then your GPA probably needs more help.
If you really care so much call the AAMC, but don't be surprised if they laugh at you.

The only time 0.01 points will make a difference is if the schools you applied to screen and rounding up puts you above a certain level (i.e. 3.5).

It would make sense if they rounded.
