How does applying multiple times affect your chances?

I've heard everything from "2nd time around shows conviction" to "most schools won't even consider you after 3 times".

I think it also has to do with what you are doing in between to better your application which shows persistance whereas doing nothing in between could be conviction... 3rd time applicant here :)

Yeah I don't really think it matters how many times you apply as long as you are improving your application. Personally, I told myself after my second application I wasn't going to try again.

actually i think it just show them that you really want it and you going to re-apply until you get in.

but it will be bad if you didn't do any improvement on your application.
