If you're on a waitlist, and they accept you off of it on May 16 or later, how does that work with financial aid (if you're holding an acceptance to another school)? Specificially, if you'd definitely go to a school if the package was good enough but otherwise could not afford it, do they let you see your finaid award before making a decision about the waitlist and withdrawing from the other school?

Thanks.

I had a friend last year that got off the waitlist about a week before school and the following Monday he started his financial aid application. So as long as you get in off the waitlist a month or so before class begins at the either school you will know how much you will be getting and you can compare. Otherwise you might not have enough time for them to get back to you. Im pretty sure they would give you extra time to accept (more than the 2 week when notified after May 15) before accepting though until your financial aid package is complete.
