I really need to reschedule an interview due to bad timing.. does that look very bad when applying to the school?

Just be polite and provide good reasoning I think they'll understand. Make sure you express to them about how important the interview is to you.

If you genuinely have a reason to reschedule than you have a valid explanation. Don't worry about it

I've done it multiple times. If you have a valid reason (I had a midterm on one of the days for another I just wanted to move to a day I didn't have class on) and it's still pre-December, it won't look bad at all.
