Well I took my oat today and I was not very happy with my bio or physics score. Because of this I am retaking it but because of the 90 day rule I can't take it again until September. Do I wait until then to send in my application or do I send it in as close to July 15 as I can? If schools don't like my first scores, will they just relook at my app again once they get the second scores or is their something on the app to let them know I am taking it again?

There's a way around the 90 day rule.

Example: I took my OAT on the last day of a month (October). I called the school to tell them that I wouldn't be able to take it again until the end of January. The lady told me that it's not really a "90 day rule". She said I could take it Jan 1st. She said that October "counted" as a month, because I took it in October, then Nov and Dec, so I could retake Jan 1st. I called and verified this and it indeed is the case.

ohh so if i took it on june 12, am i able to take it again after aug 12 or on sept 1?

Since you took it in the middle of the month, it's not as drastic as mine (taking it the final day of the month). So I would ASSUME that you are able to take it August 1st and you don't have to wait til August 12 (which would be the full 90 days). Call and double check though. Don't go directly off of what I said. 🙂

You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but was your overall score at least a 300? If so, I think you can add another entry in OptomCAS that states that you are planning to take another test in September.

ya my TS was 300 and my AA was 310. I have a 3.7 GPA but I still want to have more confidence in my scores ya know? I called NECO today and she said there is a part on the app where you check a box saying "planned" if you are planning to take the OAT soon. That way, the schools will know you are planning to retake it
