How does Jefferson notify of acceptances, by phone call or letter? I'm just wondering if I should be waiting by my phone or looking in the mail.

Thanks.

I recieved a phone call about two hours ago saying that I've been accepted at Jeff. She said that they were a little behind so it took longer than they expected (I interveiwed March 30, so I didn't think that it had been a long time). Phone call seems to be the thing.

Congratulations. I interviewed on March 30 as well; however, it appears as though I am relegated to the waiting list or even worse--a rejection, and that sucks because Jeff was my first choice. Oh well...

They burn your application along with some chemicals to give either white smoke, meaning acceptance, or black smoke, meaning rejection.

You get both. A phone call first, and then a thing that's the size and shape of a formal invitation. Dr. Callahan tries to call you twice (I think) before she eventually gives up and just waits for you to receive the acceptance letter.
