How does one look for open CA-1 spots?

Hey guys,

I have a friend who may be looking to switch into anesthesia from a surgical field. Problem is she is tied to southern CA. How does one look for possible open spots for this upcoming July? Email programs directly? I'd like to help but in another field and have no idea how anesthesia program work.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Not that many programs down there to call. Just call them and ask would be fastest.
I find it fastest to find numbers to programs from the AMA Frieda website.
