Hi,
Okay I know OptomCas application opens in July, but right now my gpa is not looking too good and I haven't taken the OAT yet (I'm a junior, expecting to enter optometry school in fall 2012) let's suppose my gpa shoots up and good OAT scores, I was wondering can you apply on OptomCas and save "without submitting"? Is there anyway if I don't get into fall 2012, I can postpone the application to the fall 2013? Help..thanks 🙂

you can save for that cycle, but not for the next year 2013, it gets deleted every year..

can anyone list the sections of the optomcas app? I want to have them done before I make an account 🙂

There's really nothing you can get done except for to have your college transcripts on hand and to write any of the essays you know of. I'm not sure if they're doing to same general essay every year or what, but you could do some research and find out. Be sure to have a physical copy of your transcript from you school, not just your unofficial transcript that you can access online at your college's website. Something about how your application has to match EXACTLY with the course names/descriptions on the transcript that you send them. They WILL kick it back to you if it doesn't match.

And surely there's information made available on the optomcas website? I suppose you can always just make an account just to see what's inside and not submit anything.
